CHASING HURRICANE DELTA

October 2020

On the evening of Thursday, October 8, 2020, some FSU Meteorology Students got in cars and headed from Tallahassee, FL to their ultimate destination of Jennings, LA, some 7 hours 30 minutes west. I was fortunate enough to be a part of this crew on my first ever hurricane chase! That day I was able to penetrate my first hurricane eye after going through a multitude of tropical storms and hurricanes throughout my childhood in New Jersey. Above is my report from throughout the storm the next day on Friday, October 9, 2020.
